My deepest condolences to my long time friend Cheryl and her family. I have known Cheryl and Larry from long ago days of high school. Larry was always a big guy with a big heart and a perfect gentleman. His sense of humour was legendary. I loved when he discovered iMessage and would often send me funny videos or cartoons. He will be greatly missed.

So many good memories.
I worked many years with Larry who was a good friend and coworker
So many stories that could be told.
Larry was a good cop and was our court officer in Wallaceburg who worked In the Chatham court system.
When Larry was off on sick leave I did his job.
Only then did I realize how hard the court officer’s job was shuttling prisoners to and from Chatham court from Windsor , London and St Thomas and beyond before their court appearances and after their court apperamces.
After a long day in court Larry would have to take the prisoners back to their institutions. Many long days for sure
In those days we did not have special constables to help with prisoner escorts to help ease the load
Larry would have to come back and finish paper work preparing for tomorrow’s court sittings. It was very. demanding .
Larry would have to try and please the judges who could be very demanding as well as crown attorneys , lawyers and prisoners.
Larry never complained and had every right to complain.
Larry, miss the good old days when we worked shifts ,
Miss your dry funny sense of humour.
R.I.P. my friend. No more Drs appointments or hospital visits,
Cheryl and family,
My sincere condolences to you and your family.
Sincerely Mike McNaughton Sgt retired #206

Our deepest condolences as neighbours and co-workers Larry left an indelible impression on our lives. He loved to spin the radio dial constantly while never landing on a station. He loved to irritate me on night shifts that way. A big man with a bigger heart. Larry loved his job and his family. A friendly giant of a man.

Our condolences to the entire Murdock family. I didn't work with Larry a lot during my tenure with the WPD in the late70's early 80's but always had a lot of respect for how Larry treated the public. I too did like to laugh at fart jokes and included a T shirt my sons gave me hope it brings a smile to the family! Rest in peace Larry.

My deepest sympathy to the Murdoch family. I spent many shifts working with Larry as my partner on Wallaceburg Police. His dry sense of humor made for many laughs during those long graveyard shifts. Over the years, I have shared lots of Lawrence Murdoch stories. He will always be remembered. Larry was one of the old guard from Wallyworld PS. He saved my bacon on many calls and made me laugh at the aftermath.
Rest easy Lawrence your shift is finished!!!
