Cathy, Ron and family, our deepest sympathy for your loss.
We have many precious memories of the years we've spent as your parents' neighbors. My favorite memories of Audrey are the many times over the past twenty-five years that we shared a glass of wine in the backyard, watching our dogs play. Audrey would tell fascinating stories about what the neighborhood was like in in the sixties. She once told me that Commissioners Avenue was a dirt road, Andover was a thriving orchard, and that Jim would often pop a young Ron onto the back of a scooter and zoom down to the orchard to pick fresh apples. She shared how the Baker family, who owned the heritage cottage on Commissioners, grew the towering Silver Maple across from us from a seedling and gifted the wee sapling to the Norton family. As a keen environmentalist and a founder of this community, Audrey knew the origin of every one of the mature trees that we all pride. In the spring, when the majestic Maples she planted across her backyard bud, we will raise a glass in gratitude for having been blessed to be her neighbors and to have had her and Jim in our family’s lives.
