Audrey was born on a heritage farm in the Glencoe ON area. Her Scottish roots ran deep and she was raised to be a hard worker with strong commitments and values. Audrey displayed these qualities throughout her life.
Farm life fostered her early love of all animals and over the years she had many cherished Dachshunds dogs who were taken care of with loving pride.
Audrey excelled in school and graduated from Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in 1962. She was a dedicated and respected Nurse and Supervisor with a 30-year career at Victoria Hospital in London. Audrey remained very close with her fellow Nursing School classmates and especially enjoyed seeing all her friends at their Annual Class Reunion.
Audrey enjoyed her many years at her lakeside cottage on the Bruce Peninsula. Stewardship of The Bruce and its four-season natural beauty remained always important.
She was a committed church member of Elmwood Presbyterian and in later years at First St. Andrews United. Her devotion to helping others was always present and shown through her charitable work and lasting donations.
Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will occur at a later date. To honour Audrey, please consider a donation to Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre or Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
Audrey touched many lives through her nursing, church and community. She will be greatly missed.
