Obituary of Eric Joseph Morup

With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother Eric, at University Hospital on March 19, 2025, in his 57th year of life. He is survived by his siblings Jens Morup, Karin (Rick) McWilliam, Stephen Morup, his favourite Uncle Phillip Bellamy as well as several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins from near and far.

Eric's life was anything but easy. He lived his life his way and if you were lucky enough to be called a friend then your life was better for it. He had the biggest heart and would give you the shirt off his back, as well as his last dollar if you he thought you needed it. His outlook on life, energy and presence in our life will be felt by those who truly saw him for the man that he was. 

A special heartfelt gratitude to Steve, Eric's roommate, as well as the staff/residents at the Village of Glendale Crossing Nursing Home, who became like a large extended family to Eric. He found a lot of purpose in life with the Residents Council. He was always looking out for change to make everyone's life better. He truly felt like this was his home. 

A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
