Obituary of Christopher Joseph Lake

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Joseph Lake in his 57th year, surrounded by his family, at University Hospital in London on April 8, 2025.

Beloved husband of Sue-Ann Lake and loved stepfather of Dakota (Mer), Tracy (Nikil), Tamara and father to his beloved furbaby Nala. Beloved son of his parents Donald and Mona Lake, Brother to Debbie (Andy), uncle to Tiffany (Pat) and great uncle to Cohen. Chris was also a father figure to Chrystal, who then became a cherished Papa to her 3 children Tate, Troy and Avalee.

Chris was a loyal man with a heart of gold and a contagious laugh who lived his life his way. He was always making his family and friends laugh with his sarcastic humour, so if you were lucky enough to be called a friend your life was better for it. He had an unrelenting enthusiasm for life and his spirit will continue to inspire and entertain those who were fortunate enough to share his world.

Throughout his life he was plagued with many different health conditions and in the end he fought a good fight with Lung Cancer but even through all his struggles he made light of everything by joking and putting smiles on everyone's face. He will forever be missed and never forgotten by all who loved him.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service. The scattering of his ashes will take place at a later date and time. A celebration of life will also take place at a later date and time as we try to cope with this great loss to our family.
