Obituary of Shirlie Irene Clarke

On Friday April 11, following a brief battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late David Clarke. Mother of Cheryl Harding (Chris) of London, Jeffrey (Andrée) of Oakville, and Robert of Halifax. Sister to Dennis Hunter of Bruce Peninsula and the late Jeannie Gwalchmai of London. Also loved and admired by 5 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters, nieces, nephews and many extended family members.

Shirlie grew up in Belmont and London; lived in Beaconsfield, PQ for many years and loved her winters with her Gleneagles III friends in Florida. Shirlie loved her family and always had dog treats on her daily walks. She was a voracious reader, and skilled pie maker, who also loved jigsaw puzzles, badminton and golf.

Cremation has taken place. A private family-only celebration of life is planned. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the animal charity of your choice would be appreciated.
