James Allen Miller
November 9, 1946 – May 13, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Allen Miller, passing on May 13, 2025, at the age of 78, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on November 9, 1946, Jim lived a life marked by dedication, integrity, and quiet strength. A proud Vietnam War veteran, he served his country honorably and was awarded a medal for his service— a testament to the courage and resilience that would define his life.
Professionally, Jim was a gifted electrical engineer whose career took him across the United States. His work for various companies gave him the unique opportunity to live in many different places, always adapting and embracing each new community with grace and curiosity.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Miller, and his son, Bryan Miller. He was also a devoted stepfather to David Seymour (Kendra) and Jennifer Seymour (Matthew Desmond). His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren — Mayan, Josh, Calleigh, Temperence, and Dominick — and great-grandchildren, Tyson, Gabriel and Tobias, who carry his spirit into the future. He is also survived by his loving sister, Faye.
In his younger years, Jim found great joy in bowling and playing baseball, a passion that followed him into his later years as a devoted fan. Whether on the field or in the stands, baseball was one of many ways he connected with those he loved.
Jim will be remembered for his gentle wisdom, unshakable work ethic, and the quiet kindness he extended to everyone he met. His family and friends will forever carry the memory of a man who lived with honor. A private memorial will be held at a later date. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
