Obituary of Lillian Venesoen

Lillian Venesoen passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, in her 94th year. Lillian was a devoted mother, a proud and loving grandmother, and a joyful great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest pride and her love of them was deep and unwavering.

Lillian was a woman of warm wit and strength. She had a sharp mind, a sassy spirit, and a heart of gold. Known for her delicious cooking and her love of family gatherings, she created a home filled with comfort, laughter and love.

Born in Belgium, she met her beloved husband Constant who predeceased her in 2021. Together married for over 65 years, they built a life rooted in romance, love and enduring companionship. Their bond was a beautiful example of what it means to walk through life hand in hand.

Lillian found joy in life's simple pleasures - classical music playing softly in the background, the rhythm of a crochet hook, and the joy of cooking a favourite dish for family and friends. Lillian had a successful career at Brescia University College teaching French and bringing joy to the Ursuline Sisters with her zest for life.

Lillian will be missed dearly by her four sons and their families and friends.
