Obituary of Yan Guang Guo

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Yanguang Guo on May 21, 2025, at the age of 64. After a courageous ten-year battle with late-stage lung cancer, she passed away peacefully in the hospital, surrounded by her family.

Yan was born on September 24, 1960, in China. She attended medical school at a young age and eventually became an attending physician specializing in various fields in China. After immigrating to Canada, Yan faced numerous challenges but bravely persevered, attending college to earn her certification as an ECG technician. She dedicated several years to working in a hospital setting before her cancer diagnosis. 

Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors, nurses of LRCP and home health nurses for their professional and compassionate care over the years. They also wish to express special thanks to Yan's close friend, Joan Reid, for providing a lifelong friendship that brought immense joy and comfort.

Cremation will be held privately. Yan will be dearly missed by her beloved husband, and her cherished daughter. She is also survived by her family and friends.
