Obituary of William Ross Brintnell
Bill Brintnell passed away peacefully at LHSC on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, just 5 days after he celebrated his sixty-third birthday. Cherished husband of Chetna Bhatt. Loving brother of Dan (Donna) and Mike (Patty). Dear brother-in-law of Sue. Very dear and best friend and cherished son-in-law of Kanti. Fun loving uncle of Milani, Travis, Connor (Ashley), Abbey (Bart), Tomas, and great uncle of Zoey, Theo, Madilyn and Haisley. Bill was predeceased by his parents Har and Pauline, his mother-in-law Hira and his brother-in-law Mukesh. Bill will also be sadly missed by his fur babies, Mithu and Simba.
Bill (or Sweet William as many liked to call him) was very friendly and loved to chat and tell stories with family, friends and neighbours. He was always willing to lend a helping hand by cutting a neighbour’s lawn or blowing the snow out of their driveway. Bill also rescued cats and welcomed them into their home. As a youngster, he had many pets which instilled a love of animals that would continue throughout his life.
Bill spent most of his working career as dedicated and very valuable team member as a Nursing Orderly for Emergency and Psychiatry, earlier as a PSW at London Health Sciences Centre - both South Street and Vic. In the last several years, Bill dedicated a lot of his time lovingly caring for Kanti and Milani.
In his younger years, Bill enjoyed performing in community plays, telling jokes, doing impressions, playing the guitar, playing euchre and developing photos. At his grade 8 graduation, Bill received the citizenship award and was chosen to introduce the guest speaker for the evening.
During his illness, Bill was very grateful for all of the love he felt, surrounded by family and friends. He really enjoyed the visits, chats, cards, flowers, specialty creams and thoughtful gifts, music, Reiki treatments, and massages. Bill remained upbeat, independent and continued to have a sense of humour through it all. He will be truly missed by all of those whose lives he touched.
We wish to thank the wonderful team at Jessica’s House - he found peace and healing. Also his dedicated Dietitian Nan and Nurse Carrie Lelapie.
If you wish to make a donation in memory of Bill, please consider Jessica’s House in Exeter or the Humane Society as he loved Cats and every animal that visited his home.
Private cremation will be held at Woodland Cemetery.
