Obituary of Bonnie Evelyn Young

April 14,1943- September 7, 2025

On September 7, 2025, our mom, gram and wife, Bonnie, passed away gently after an exhausting and inspiring fight with cancer. She told us early on that she didn’t want us to be afraid of death, and we know she used much of her precious little energy putting on a brave face for her family.

Seeing her through the fresh eyes of many talented and cherished caregivers along this journey has given us a rare opportunity to fall in love with her again and again. She has charmed many, chided some, and has given us all so many belly laughs. If laughter is the best medicine, she has dosed us well and often.

Predeceased by, and reunited with her beloved mother, Evelyn Snider and her siblings, Shirley MacLeod, Marlene Malley, Harvey Snider and Roberta Voznek. Survived by her best friend and husband, Elgin (Al) Young, and her children Reg, Sherri, Buddy and Kerri. Missed and loved by her grandchildren, Ben, Connor, Chloe and Kate.
