I found another photo, Karen. This time it’s James with the long arms. +40 years ago, I like that there is a look of unbridled youth in our eyes.

I had the privilege of spending one Christmas with Mark and his family. For at least one week before Mark raved about his mother’s sausage stuffing…it was delicious. Mark had fine taste in food. His specialty was spaghetti Alfredo..wow the calories! This made no difference to slim Mark as his zest for life itself would burn them off! Mark was talented..his writing his drawing origami and of course of course of course his music with piano and guitar. His piano was lilting and jazz-like while his guitar was free and wild yes wild and free. His love of learning may have been outdone by his love for jousting…we loved to spar verbally and he would almost always win! His humour has to be mentioned and as a true Scotsman he’d like to quaff a few and worry little. As always he would get into his Monty Pythons mimicking showing that among his talents he could’ve been an actor! His energy is found in few and his laughs are shared by many. My sincere condolences to Mark’s family. He will be sadly missed.

I’ll always remember my time with Mark in the late ‘70s”. He was clever, funny and musical. He taught me the opening riff to Xanadu before I even new what a major scale was. This picture is from around 1983. I recall Mark holding the camera below us, maybe the world’s first selfie! My condolences to Mark’s family.
