Obituary of Kenneth Brian Price
Price, Kenneth Brian - It is with great sadness that the family of Ken Price announce his peaceful passing on January 29, 2026, surrounded by his family, in his 90th year. He was predeceased in the year 2000 by his beloved wife, Jane (née Kinkaid), whom he missed deeply.
Ken was born on May 22, 1936 in Leicester, England. He will be lovingly remembered by his partner Rita, who brought love and joy into his later years, and by his daughter Lyn Carapella and her husband Joe, and son Richard and his wife Nancy. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Adam (Laura), Matthew, Jake, Olivia (Cam), a delighted great-grandfather to Victoria, Marcus, and Maxwell, and a proud grandfather to Andrew Price, Erin (Steve) and Meg (Joe) and their children Adelaide and Lincoln.
Also remembering Ken fondly is Rita's family: Carl (Collette), Gail (Mike), Niamh (Wil), as well as Rita's cherished grandchildren Caen, Aoife, Molly, Finn, Sean, Brody, and Georgia.
Ken will also be missed by family in Northern Ireland: sister-in-law Dorothy Kinkaid (predeceased by her husband Alastair), nephew Stephen Kinkaid, and niece Joanne Colhoun (predeceased by her husband Colin) and their kids Sophie, Matthew, Charlie, and Emily Colhoun.
Ken was a loving husband, partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be remembered for his natural kindness and the unwavering generosity that he showed to his family and anyone that he crossed paths with. Ken served three years as a policeman in the Royal Air Force (1954-57) before a career as a dedicated policeman in both London, England (1958-1966) and London, ON (1966-1994). Upon retirement, Ken became an avid golfer and valued member of Hickory Ridge Golf Club. One of Ken’s passions was woodworking, as he crafted many things with his precise handiwork. He also loved a game of chess. Ken was a man of strength and honour whose legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.
