Margaret Elizabeth George passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at peopleCare Oakcrossing.
Margaret was a retired secretary with the Engineering Department for the City of London. She was the beloved wife of Gordon Vincent Lee George and a devoted mother to Ella Brown of St. Thomas and Peggy (Brian) McPhee of East St. Paul, Manitoba.
She was a loving grandmother to Jeremy (Rachel) McPhee of Carberry, Manitoba; Shawn (Megan) McPhee of Winnipeg, Manitoba; Katie (Calvin) Paul of St. Thomas; and Matthew (Elisha) Ogglesby of Vancouver, British Columbia. Margaret was also a proud great-grandmother to Mark and Emily McPhee, to Nikko, Anella, and Elyza Paul, and to Evelyn Ogglesby.
She is survived by her sister Grace Moore, her sister-in-law Rita Tigert, and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Ella (Stothers) Tigert; her brothers, William (Aileen) and Jack; and her sister, Dorothy (Ray) Barker.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.at St. James Westminster Anglican Church, 115 Askin Street, London. A reception will follow in the church hall.
