Obituary of Sonja Lizette Larmer

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and dearest friend, Sonja Lizette Larmer, who passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the age of 77.

Sonja was predeceased by her husband George and brother Edmund and is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Maria; her sons, Christian, Darren (Rano), Shawn (Caroline), and Justin; and her grandchildren, Anaya, Sierra, Zach, Eva, Annalisa, and Aribella, as well as many other family members and close friends.

Sonja was a woman whose kindness, honesty, and unwavering dedication touched the hearts of so many. She was known for her friendly spirit, strong work ethic, unmatched hair styling skills, and deep love for her family and many friends. Sonja was someone you could always count on. Her presence brought comfort, strength, and plenty of laughter to those around her.

Family was the centre of Sonja’s life. She took great pride in her four boys and her grandchildren, and the love she had for them was evident in everything she did. Her legacy of compassion, resilience, and devotion will continue to live on through the many lives she shaped and the memories she leaves behind.

Sonja’s Celebration of life will be held at the St. Marys Legion on April 11, 2026 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

She will forever be loved and deeply missed.
