Obituary of Lynne Tyler
Audrey Elizabeth Lynne Tyler (née Stuckey) was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2026, in London, Ontario. Lynne was born July 27, 1944, to Emery and Constance Stuckey in Wingham. She committed her life to Christ in her teens, in part through the ministry of Leighton Ford. As a young woman, she studied at the Ontario College of Art (OCA, now OCAD University), bringing her to Toronto where she attended High Park Baptist Church. It was there that she met the love of her life in life and ministry, Gordon Tyler, and they married in 1966. Together they raised their family in Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta. Lynne shared a deep passion for missions, serving with Gordon at Pioneer Camp Alberta, Ontario Pioneer Camp, Mercy Ships in West Africa, and at the OMF guest home in Toronto. They later retired to London, Ontario. Lynne had a knack for using her creative gifts to bless those around her, whether it was a sewing project, sketching stories for her grandchildren, baking tasty treats, arranging flowers, or decanting jam while hosting brunch. Lynne was a loving mom to her five children and their spouses, "Grans" to her twelve grandchildren, and "Big Grans" to her two great-grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered as a friend, colleague, neighbour, and auntie to many more.
Lynne will be deeply missed and never forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of deep faith, grace, humility, and love for generations.
The family would like to thank all those involved with her cancer treatment, palliative care, and hospice care for their kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to St. Joseph's Hospice, London.
A memorial service will be held May 2, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at West Park Church (955 Gainsborough Rd, London, Ontario N6G 5C9) and livestreamed via YouTube.
