In Death
Is death the ending or the beginning?
Is death the foe we should dread?
Are we trading one life for another?
Do we start again without errors?
Death comes to us all just once
And we pray for its suddenness
Death takes us at random
The deserving and the innocent alike.
We never pray for our death
We never look forward to its coming
But we live with the knowledge that one day we will die.
The death of your body awakens your soul
To the wonders of God
Our death is the end of a life here on earth
But it’s the birth of our forever.
Robert Morrison.
