Obituary of Jeffrey Wendell Andrews

In his 65th year, after suffering from a catastrophic medical emergency, Jeff was removed from life support on May 17th.

Jeff was born on November 18, 1961 in Scarborough, ON.

In his younger years he played hockey. He was a true Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Jeff faced some challenges but persevered and successfully ran a sign business.

He later married Kelly and they recently celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary.

Jeff enjoyed playing in a baseball league. He made a sign for his ball team that said, "Bad Attitude Ball Club". He later tried hot air ballooning, which he greatly enjoyed and spoke about many times, and he also tried ziplining, enjoyed? - not so much. Even though Jeff struggled with both diabetes and schizophrenia, he lived with fierce determination, refusing to let his illnesses keep him from the activities he loved the most - riding his bike, jogging and occasionally go-karting.

Jeff will be profoundly missed by his devoted wife Kelly and dearly missed by his sister Arlene (Nick), his brother Wayne (Janice), his sister Angela, his mother-in-law Liz, his brother-in-law Greg and Greg's former spouse Jesicca.

He was predeceased by his mother Doris, his father Jack and his brother Jerome.

Jeff will also be remembered by his nieces and nephews: Lynzi, Shayne, Kate, Thomas, Joseph, Heather and Kristen, Kelly's niece Abbey, as well as his extended family.

Jeff gave the gift of life and hope to others through organ and tissue donation.

In Jeff's memory, we ask you to brighten a stranger's day with an unexpected act of kindness.

A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.

When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes, all filled with tears for me

I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today, while thinking of the many things, we didn't get to say

I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too

But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, that an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand

The Angel said my place was ready, in heaven far above, and that I would have to leave behind, all those I dearly love

So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, remember I'm right here in your heart
