Obituary of Della Marie Sutton
Della Marie Sutton, 94 years, of St. Thomas, passed peacefully on May 20th, 2026 surrounded by loving family.
Born March 12th, 1932, in Winnipeg, Della spent her life as a devoted mother and educator. Della will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to the Anglican church, and loving support to her family.
Survived by her son Brian Sutton (Kelly), grandchildren Sarah Finn (Chad), Tyler Sutton, Jesse Bowering and his father Paul Bowering, and the great grandchildren Lexi Finn and Piper Finn. Predeceased by husband John Sutton, daughter Cherie Sutton, sister Elaine Gawinski and brother Ross Hartwell.
Thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, and the staff at Royal Oak Senior Living for their compassionate care.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral services June 1st 11 a.m. at St. Hilda's St. Luke's Anglican Church at 185 Elm St. St. Thomas with reception to follow. Family and friends invited to honour Della's life.
