Gord Lange

Obituary of Gord Lange

Gordon A. P. Lange, 83, of London, Ontario, passed away peacefully at University Hospital on July 10, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 17, 1943, Gord was the son of Alfred and Erma Lange. He earned a degree in Engineering from the University of Waterloo and enjoyed a distinguished 37-year career with Bell Canada before retiring.

Gord was known for his curious mind, thoughtful nature, and unmistakable dry sense of humour. An engineer through and through, he loved researching every detail before making a decision and was always on the lookout for the best-quality option. Over the years he found great enjoyment in cartooning, drawing, photography, fishing, metal detecting, and exploring computers and emerging technology. He found great satisfaction in learning something new and pursuing one of his many interests. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family.

Gord will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Connie; his children, Kristine (Mike) and Mike (Leslie); his siblings, Jim and Audrey (Bill); and his granddaughters, Molly and Emily. Papa Gord cherished every moment spent with his granddaughters and took great pride in watching them grow. Gord is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Faye (Jeff), Scott (Ashley), Jamie, and Jennifer.

A private family interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends.

Memorial donations in Gord’s memory may be made to the LHSC Palliative Care Unit, whose compassionate care and support were greatly appreciated by the family.
