Obituary of Michael Franklin Hawkins

Frank Mickey Hawkins, aged 73, of 580 Dundas Street, London, Ontario, died suddenly of a heart attack in London, Ontario on April 2, 2017.  He is survived by his siblings residing in the USA, and many friends here in London Ontario. His birth name was Michael Franklin Hawkins, and he was born in California on Dec. 18, 1943.  A traveler at heart, Frank has lived in Georgia, New York City New York, Seattle Washington, Reno Nevada, Chicago Illinois.  Frank arrived in Canada on June 5, 1967, when he moved to Montreal Quebec. Frank has also lived in Anchorage Alaska, San Francisco California, Victoria British Columbia, before settling in London Ontario where he lived out his days. Frank’s main occupations were as a live-in child care provider, and office receptionist. His passion was the theatre, where he devoted many years in Victoria BC as a dance choreographer.  In later years, Frank was a frequent visitor to the London Coffee House Program.  A father figure and mentor to many children and youth throughout his whole life. Frank was a gentleman in every sense of the word, and is remembered for his warm loving nature and sunny outlook.  He was beloved by those whose lives he graced.  Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Tuesday May 30, 2017 at 2 p.m., in the atrium of Talbot St Church, 513 Talbot St, with Gil Clelland, officiant.
