Obituary of Edwin Lawrence Matthews

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eddy Matthews on September 2, 2017.  In his 90th year, Eddy led a full life as beloved husband to Sarah (nee Golden).  Loving and cherished father to Bruce and Kelley, Garry and Louise, David and Carrie, Doug, Glendon and Kathy.  Proud grandfather to Justin, Kristen, John, AJ, Sarah, Braeden, Tyler, Myles, Christopher and Kyla.  Great grandfather of Emmeline.  He will be remembered fondly by everyone for his love of family, love of the outdoors and for his generosity.  For the past 3 1/2 years Eddy and Sarah have been together residing at Meadow Park Long Term Care. The family gives their deepest gratitude to all the nurses and staff at Meadow Park for their compassionate and caring support.  Cremation has taken place.  A private family service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Woodland Cemetery.  Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family through woodlandcemetery.on.ca
