Obituary of Donna May Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna May Smith (nee Sutherland) -
With her loving family by her side, in her 81st year on Saturday, December 30th 2017. Beloved
wife of Harold Smith of 63 years. Cherished Mother of David and wife Brenda Smith, Kim and
husband Tom Howard, Lori and husband Steve Crocker and Mark Smith. Amazing
Grandmother to Mathew, Jeffrey and Stephanie Howard, Ian Smith, Alex and Brittany Crocker
and Jessica Smith. Rest well Nana. We love you. Predeceased by her parents Gordon Ross
(1973) and Elizabeth May (nee Watson 1998) Sutherland, her brother William Ross Sutherland
(1991) and her beloved first born son Harold Michael Smith (2017).
Donna is survived by many family members and dear friends in Canada and The United States.
Last but not least, Donna leaves behind her truest friend and guardian, Scooter. He’s waiting for
you mom.
Donna was a longtime employee of Simpsons and The Bay.
Special thanks to Delores and husband Lorne, Leslie and husband Scott, Del Wilks and Carl
Will. Your phone calls, visits and friendship over the years were cherished by Donna and
Harold. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Donna’s long-time physician Dr. Ann Souter. We are
beyond grateful for your care and compassion. Thank you.
As per Donna’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place. Memorial
donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, The Lung Association (C.O.P.D) or The London
Humane Society are welcome and condolences may be left at
