Obituary of Kristina Lee Rathbone

It is with the deepest sorrow and heartfelt loss that the family of Kristina Lee Rathbone announces her passing in her 55th year of life on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario after a courageous battle with cancer. May God hold her now in his loving arms for eternal life. Loving wife and soul-mate of Paul of 31 years and caring and loving mother of Eric (Kayla) and Tyler (Christine) all of London, Ontario. Dear daughter of Winnifred and the late Allen Braun of London and sister of Sally (Jeff) Braun-Jackson of Hamilton, Ontario. Dear daughter-in law of Murray and the late Evelyn Rathbone of Hamilton and sister-in law of Mary (Brad) Whitwell also of Hamilton. Kris was the loving grandma of dear little Hannah for only nine months. Kris was dear Aunt of Sarah Whitwell and Willow Braun-Jackson, both of Hamilton. Kris was a loving and powerful presence to family and friends. Her gift of love, life, inspiration and compassion with those who embraced her and her life will remain as powerful and loving memories of what she gave to us all who knew her in different ways. She was an administrator at the Thames Valley School Board for several schools for many years as well as a travel agent and in both capacities served all with great care, dedication and compassion. She will be missed by all those she served. Kristina loved the ocean and travel with her husband and boys. Many great trips have brought many life-long memories. Great thanks go out to the incredible staff at the Palliative Care unit at Victoria Hospital, to her homecare nurse Stacie and the wonderful nurses and doctors at the London Regional Cancer Program. Thank you ever so much for your care for her while she was sick. A visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Cronyn Hall at 472 Richmond Street, London, ON. N6A 3E6 on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.   A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Tuesday, October 23 at 2:30 pm.
