He was a man of his word and did not mince. He was strong in everything he taught me. He prepared me for the future life without him to be on my own and stand strong. His love was firm, protecting and yet soft and loving. He always watched over me and teaching. He loved his pets with such care and softness. He will be missed at the cottage where he feed the Chippies and blue Jays peanuts. I expect they will be waiting for him to come back in May.
His love for fishing was exciting and yet relaxing. He would fish and I would take my Camera and video to take pictures while he talked about the good fishing spots and I would film him. He would go out with his friends to fish on Pigeon Lake in the yearly fishing tourament in the hottest month. They would fish for a few days of that
week and come together for the Big fish fry and dinner at the cottage have drinks and chat. They would meet on the last day and talk about the Trophy and the winner and would get to pick out GREAT prizes! Everyone was a WINNER! He enjoyed the guys and all the talk about getting the BIG ONE! He will be missed. Dax and I will miss a big hug from him.

I will always love you. I will remember him fishing in his boat and enjoying the moment. I will be doing something in the month of June at the cottage for David.

Over the years Dave and I enjoyed many many experiences dating back as far back as 1959 at Jarvis collegiate. We both had cottages in the kawarthas. On many occasions we visited back and forth. When he moved back to Canada in the seventies I got to meet his lovley wife Kim. We spent many years enjoying the sport of snowmobiling at Dave’s cottage. Our thoughts are with you. Dave will be missed.
Love Don and Laurie
