Obituary of David Mark Roth
On Tuesday June 15th as the sun began to rise, Dave Roth age 57, passed away peacefully with his loving wife and soulmate Terry-Lyne McLaughlin and his devoted parents Martin and Linda Roth (nee Overholt) by his side. He is survived by his 2 children Danielle Roth and Jake Roth. Dave was a caring son, father, and husband and was much loved by so many. He will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
Dave's careers included serving in the Canadian Armed Forces as a mechanical engineer, logistics and finally at GDLS-London until his retirement in 2019.
Dave had a passion for motorcycles and loved going on rides especially with friends. He was fond of Wildwood Conservation Area as a child and enjoyed camping and boating there in his later years. Dave loved to travel especially on vacations with his wife. Dave was always passionate about tinkering with his “gadgets”. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh right to the end. Dave believed “life is a journey not a destination” and he is now on his next adventure.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood and especially Dr. Faulds for their compassionate care. Dave was fortunate to have family, friends and community care partners to allow him to be at home during his illness – which he cherished.
Cremation has taken place. As per Dave’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. Memorial Donations may be made to The Brian Tumor Foundation of Canada or a charity of choice.
