Margaret Rose Patterson (née Jenkins) in her 79th year of London, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 8, 2021.
Born October 12, 1942 in Cobourg, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Edward Jenkins and Kathleen Jenkins. Predeceased by her brothers Gordon Jenkins and Robert (Bob) Jenkins. Margaret is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frederick Patterson; daughter Lisa Ellis (née Patterson) (Kim) of London; son Kevin Patterson (Sheri) of Stratford; and 5 grandchildren Shannon (Chris), Tyler, Aidan, Brianna, and Connor.
Margaret held a special place in many hearts and will be missed by her best friend Virginia (Wilf) Blonde, sister-in-law Morian (Drago) Yagrines, sister-in-law Marlene of Colborne, and family in Cobourg and Ireland. As an accordion player, and attendee of many a concert, Margaret's love for music was unrivaled. We will forever be reminded of her on St. Patrick's Day when we raise a glass and clap our hands to the beat of an Irish tune. Margaret's greatest joy was her family, and she especially enjoyed the days and nights we could all be together singing, dancing, and having a good craic.
Private family arrangements have been entrusted to Woodland Cemetery, 493 Springbank Drive, London Ontario. A Celebration of Life will be held outdoors on October 9th from 2pm - 5pm at 106 Martinet Place London
