Obituary of James Oliver Bridle

Jim passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at University Hospital, after a long fought battle with Multiple System Atrophy. Loving husband and best friend for 57 years of Vivian (Bishop). Proud and loving dad of Carol (Paul) Lafontaine and poppa to Morgan & Grant Lafontaine, North Bay and Kathy (Mark) Wilson and poppa to Quinn (Ryan) Scheerer; Karli (Matt) Tremel; Erynn Wilson and great grandfather to Gewel & Zara Scheerer and McKenna Tremel all of Lethbridge, Alberta.  Loving uncle to Lucy Knox; Rob Sims, Jamie Sims and Nancy Blackwell and Carrie Hall and Glen Melvin.  Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Violet Bridle and sisters June Knox, Donna Sims and Sharlet Melvin. Jim retired in 2003 from Unifin International with 40 years of service, most of them as a welder.  We are forever grateful for the generous friendship and support from our friends and neighbors especially Bonnie & David Burrell; Margaret & Walt Armstrong; Bill & Joanne Taylor; along with our wonderful neighbors at Stoneybrook Club who have been so supportive.  We can’t say enough of our dedicated care worker Andres and the staff from St. Elizabeth.  Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 6th,2017, at the Stoneybrook Club Clubhouse, 601 Grenfell Drive, London, from 2-4 p.m.  If desired, donations to the Clinical Neurological Sciences Department, University Hospital or a charity of your choice.  A private internment at the Bridle family plot in Woodland Cemetery has taken place.  Online condolences can be expressed at www.woodlandcemeterydirectcremationcompany.ca
