I worked with Barb at Fanshawe for many years and was saddened to hear of her death. I always enjoyed our conversations and remember her as such a positive and cheerful soul. What a nice picture. It really captures her radiance. She was a sweetie!

Luanne and Lorelei, how many fond memories I have of times spent with you at your Jellico home. We had many laughs and many memories. There was a side to your mother that I discovered by reading the obituary. It is wonderful to read about her in that way. She will be missed. My sincerest condolences on the passing of your mother. I worked with Barb for many years at the College and enjoyed our time together and the many conversations we shared. She was a lovely woman and I am fortunate to have been her friend. We had many laughs over the use of ‘Barbie’ and she always chuckled when she heard me.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. The photograph of Barb is just how I remember her when she taught ESL at Fanshawe. She was an integral part of a team of teachers that helped many immigrants and refugees settle into their new country and Barb's spirit, energy, and collegiality were always appreciated. Rest in peace now, Barb.
