The day I started at Eagle Ridge I met Corey. We were both hired to work with a particular student.
Corey and I shared many things together during her time at Eagle Ridge and great laughter was one of them.
We met up a couple of years together at a function and got caught up on our lives.
I am so sorry and devastated to hear of her passing.
My prayers go out to her family and her beautiful daughters.

I was deeply saddened to read the message about Corey's passing. My sincerest condolences go out to her family, especially her beautiful girls whom she spoke of with great pride. Corey came into my classroom in the fall of 2019 as a member of the START team. We recognized each other, but it took us a minute to figure out from where. As it turns out, we had met at St.Peter's Anglican church in Oshawa when her girls were very small and taught Sunday School together. She was wonderful to be in the presence of then, and a great joy when we met again in my classroom to help program for a student. She had such a warm and kind and fun personality. She made us laugh every day. Corey put her heart into her work, family, and friends. Some days, when things were overwhelming, we would pray together. I am grateful to have known Corey. I know she's at rest and I pray that you, her family, find peace and comfort.

I was sad to hear about the loss of Corey. I met her years ago when she came to my school to help support our small class. She was absolutely amazing. She truly loved her work and the students she supported. She often went above and beyond her expectations. She was funny, beautiful and positively bright. ¨Those we love don´t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear¨ My condolences to the family and friends.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Corey's passing. We worked together at DDSB. I remember an end of party one year started with a Road scavenger hunt. Corey was driving...like a crazy women. We had so much fun. My thoughts are with her family, and two daughters. She was loved!!

I am very saddened to hear the passing of Corey. Always kind, gentle and a great sense of humor. She offered unconditional support when I took over one of the special education classes at Eagle Ridge. That bright smile lit up the room and you knew everything was going to be okay. My sincere condolences to her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there ,I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain,
When you awaken in the mornings hush,I am the swift uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night ,
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not here,I did not die.
God Bless Corey
We Love You

I am deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Corey. I extend my sincere sympathies to her loving family and her treasured, dear friends. She will be greatly missed by so many. Corey and I worked together as EAs many years ago in a stressful special needs classroom. I can honestly say that Corey being Corey, made those days as pleasant and fun as possible. Her skills with the students were admirable. As we both moved on to new positions, I always looked back with fondness and a smile at those days working alongside Corey. I can still hear her giggle and some of her hilarious exclamations like it was yesterday. In more recent online exchanges with her, I have been so inspired by her positivity and fighting spirit in such difficult circumstances. Corey's absolute adoration of her daughters always shone through and my heart goes out to them. I hope that in the years to come, they will find comfort in knowing how highly their Mom was regarded by others.
Her bright light will continue to shine in the hearts and minds of all who knew her.
Rest in peace, dear Corey.

I only knew Corey for a short time working with her at DDSB. But in that short time I was able to enjoy her beautiful smile and share some good laughs at the lunchroom table. My condolences to your family in this difficult time.
