It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our shining light Correen (Corey) Marie Head (nee Fraser), on April 8 th after a short and courageous battle with Leukemia.
Corey was in her 41st year, She left us far too soon.
Corey was a devoted mother to her beautiful girls Mackenzie and Alyssa, “her girls'' were her pride and joy. Corey’s spirit will forever live on in their hearts.
Cherished daughter of Debbie Fraser (nee Ball)(Thomas) will forever miss her baby girl, the love, laughter and friendship they shared.
Joe (Linda) Fraser, a proud father who watched his daughter grow into a confident strong woman will forever be proud of all of her accomplishments.
Corey was a fun loving partner in crime to her brother Kyle (Vivian) Fraser and a proud auntie to Eli and Cash. Her Furbaby Izzy will miss the unconditional love she showered her with.
Corey also leaves behind the father of her children Lonnie Head and his father Murdock (Lisa). Corey will be greatly missed by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins across Canada.
Corey has reunited with her loving Nan, Jacqueline (nee Watcher) and Donald Gerald Ball, grandparents Irvine and Mary Fraser (nee Sepp), as well as her four legged companions Shadow and Joey.
Corey was loved by so many dear friends, her Niagara Sisters, Toronto Crew, Dance Moms and work friends. Each of them will hold a special place in their heart for Corey, and the memories they shared. Corey's years in life may have been short, but the dash between the years were filled with many memories, proud moments and lots of laughs. Corey's presence could never go unnoticed. Anyone that knew her, would say her smile would light up a room and her laugh was infectious. Many family, friends and loved ones are truly going to miss her and miss her charismatic ways. Corey always saw the good in people and wanted to help in any way she could.
Corey was born in London, Ontario and grew up in Niagara Falls. She always loved children. Her quick wit and inner caring nature lead her down the path to being a Child and Youth worker (studied at Niagara College and Ryerson University). She left a lasting impression on many students through her years at the Durham District School Board. We would like to thank the many people that truly touched the life and heart of Corey.
We are grateful for the team of Doctors and Nurses at UHN, especially Princess Margaret Hospital, that not only provided the best medical care. The nurses were her family when her loved ones could not be there.
To all that took the time to message, call or share a zoom meeting with Corey during this time and helped with all the extras, THANK YOU!!!! It was your love, and support that kept her strength and positivity alive.
Corey lived her best life. She loved with all her heart, she gave with all her soul, and she fought with all her strength. This is not goodbye, this is not farewell, this is till we meet again. Heaven has gained an angel. Spread those wings and fly high
We Love You Mommy!!
