I did not know Ray too well, but I did live across the street from him for a couple years when I first moved to London. I remember seeing him from my window as he did yard work and cared for the plants in the garden out front. I recall seeing him from the bedroom window one day as he took the recycling to the curb and luckily I was in the right place at the right time as I saw him fall which resulted in a superficial but significant laceration to his arm. This is summer of 2020, just before I relocated to the Cherryhill area the following summer. I rushed outside to see if he was okay and the neighbour a few doors down also ran out; however, she was older so it was not in her best interest to help Ray up. I ran home to get a first aid kit and I help Ray by addressing his scrapes and bruises as well as attempting to get him up, but he had been experiencing issues with his back so he was not as strong as he would have liked so it was a process to get him up and back in the house. Luckily his daughter was already on her way to take him to UH for an appointment for 11. In a very short time my relationship with Ray grew and we ended up discussing my schooling and I told him how I was going to be applying to become a Registered Nurse at Western University and he sang my praises and really confirmed my desire to care for others. He is the one who really pushed me to reach for the stars when he said "You are going to make a great nurse". He believed in me before anyone else did and I am so grateful for that. Once everything settled, he told me that if I ever needed a reference for my university application he would be more than happy to put in a good word, and that he did. And later that day I came back with a get well card and some flowers as even the smallest act of kindness can make the greatest difference in one's day and maybe in their life.
Today I stumbled upon the Letter of Character he submitted to Western and McMasters and I saw that he was a former CEO of Molson Breweries which I did not know, so I did a quick Google search and upon doing so I learned that he passed away just after I moved. I wish I could have done more for him, but I know that I did leave a lasting impact on his life as he did on mine. I am just glad that there was a place for me to share the good he brought into my life. Maybe it was divine timing as I am nearing the end of my nursing degree (December 2024) and I really needed a little push to keep going and Ray has given that to me.
Wishing Ray and his family all the best. He was a lovely man :)

Doris, please accept my condolences. I met Ray at the Cardiac Institute at LHSC. He had great stories, to lighten the mood during our workouts. Ray really helped with fund raising to keep
our program going, but the hospital unfortunately shut the Cardiac program down. The money he raised helped us move the Cardiac program with the exercise equipment to CCAA which is part of Western University.CCAA@UWO.ca. Ray would be happy to know the program is continuing.

Dear Doris and family,
Liza and I were saddened to learn of Ray’s passing and wanted to send our sincere condolences. As you will remember, we had some wonderful times together during your short time living on Purdy Cres in Hamilton. Ray coaching the HPS hockey team and Scott helping out as our stick boy. The pool parties were the best! We will always remember our trip to visit you in your new home in Sudbury and Ray greeting us wrapped up like a mummy. We thought it was another one of his “acts” when in fact he had suffered multiple burns when the pool heater blew up while he was lighting it! Pretty sure it was one of the many times I heard him say, “don’t worry about it, a hundred years from now it won’t make a difference.” Ray was a one of a kind guy who we dearly loved being in the company of. He was a lucky man to have you at his side Doris ‘Jo’ and be the father of three loving and caring children. RIP Ray. Bob and Liza Buck

Dear Doris and family,
Mary Lynn and I wish to offer our deepest sympathy in the loss of your husband Ray, your soulmate.
Your husband Ray was a unique and good person. It should be a source of deep gratification to you that you gave Ray the joy of a splendid family. I cannot begin to understand your strength during Ray's illness over the years. You have been a pillar of strength through it all.
I have known Ray and his wonderful family, his mother and dad and siblings over 75 years.
Once again, our sincere condolences to you and the members of your families and to Ray, "A life well lived, in familiar Italian, Hatto Fatto Una Buona Jobba, which means, He did a good job, grazie."
Take care, keep well,
Terry & Mary Lynn Talentino

George and I are sending our heartfelt condolences to the Bradley family. Having had the opportunity to spend time with Ray and Doris in Vancouver, we remember how he would light a room with his contagious spirit and zest for life. We love how he called Doris "Jo," and how Christmas presents became Christmas "prizes."
We know that his beloved family and friends have treasure chests brimming with fond memories of the unforgettable man that he was, and hope they will provide you with comfort for years to come.
Fondly,
Karen and George

I met Ray through my jersey framing business. He hired me to frame a hockey jersey to be auctioned off at a golf tournament. He was one of those people who makes you feel so special when you are with him and I instantly took a shine to him. We stayed in touch over the years through phone calls and business contacts and every time I talked to him I felt so happy after I hung up the phone. He always put a huge smile on my face. He also took a shine to my husband and they stayed in touch as well. He was always sending Joe some funny jokes via email. Ray was so thoughtful and caring and helpful and would do anything for you if he could. We will both miss him so much and we send our condolences to Doris and the family. You are all in our thoughts.

He was lucky to have such a loving and supporting family by his side. He is at peace and shining down, always present in the memories you now hold dear and close to your heart. He will definitely be missed by many. His personality was larger than life! His stories made you laugh, cry and everything in between. Rest in peace dear friend.
