Obituary of Janet Lillian Walsh

Born June 30, 1953 - died July 26, 2022, in London, Ontario, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Janet's family was her priority, and she was always there when you needed her. She valued her friendships, many of which were forged in the chair as she styled your hair. 

As a hairstylist, starting her career in her late teens, she was well-loved by her many clients. She had a great sense of humour and a heart of gold. She was the reliable one. She was always there for you if you needed an ally, a favour, or a friendly ear. Professional and steadfast to the end, she would tell you where she stood on any subject in the most humble way.

She was the only daughter of Sheila (Cosgrove) Walsh and William John (Jack) Walsh. Both are predeceased.

She will be missed by brother Gary, his spouse Linda, and their children Melissa, Sarah, and Craig. Brother Joe, his spouse Deborah, and their children April and Ashley. Brother Jeff (predeceased), his partner Bonnie, their son Joshua (predeceased) daughter Chelsea and many other family members.

To our beloved Aunt Ricky, friends Sharon and Bob, Elaine, Brittany and the many customers and neighbours,; we thank you so much for your support, encouragement, meals, and kindness. Your calls and cards were very much appreciated! It meant so much to her.  Special appreciation goes out to the staff at London Health Sciences Centre and Parkwood Hospital who cared for Janet during one of the most challenging times in healthcare.

As per Janet's request, there will be no memorial service or funeral.
