Obituary of Geoffrey Michael Cox

Home in London on Monday September 12, 2022 in his 91st year.  Beloved husband of 62 years to Nansi and caring father to Jane, John and Elizabeth. 

Proud and loving grandfather to Paul and Emily.  A very special friend to Leann and Leighton.

Mike came to Canada in 1947 to attend McDonald College at McGill University and eventually made his home in London where he met Nansi.  He worked for the City of London as a lab technician retiring in 1994.  Mike was an avid rugby fan having played in his younger days and was instrumental in the establishment of the St. George’s Rugby Club in London. He enjoyed participating in numerous choral groups.  In his retirement he loved to travel particularly to visit his grandchildren. He was a keen researcher of his family tree.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Chelsey Park and Southbridge for the care and compassion they have shown.  In addition, thank you to the staff at University Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital for their expertise.

Cremation has taken place and Mike’s life will be celebrated at a private family gathering planned for a later date.
