Passed away at Victoria Hospital on October 15, 2022. Christel Anneliese (Menn) of London, Ontario in her 86th year. Beloved wife of Kenneth (Ken) Meston (pre-deceased) for 62 years. Dear mother of Kent and his wife Barbara of Stratford, and Steven and his wife Judith of Oakville. Dear grandmother of Ashley (Phil, Remy and Grey), Courtney, Christopher (Lauren), Sarah and Mariah. Sadly missed by her sister Monika Bernardo and her husband Gerald, her cousin Gitta and her husband Helmut as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Christel was born in Wuppertal, Germany in 1937, the daughter of Erna and Rudolf Menn. The family came to Canada in 1953. Christel and Ken lived in several cities across Canada and were regular members of an exercise group in London. Christel had many friends and enjoyed life, travel and her family.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Forest City National Golf Club, 16540 Robins Hill Road, London, Ontario on Thursday October 20th from 2pm to 4pm.
Donations may be made to the London Health Sciences, 747 Base Line Road East, London, Ontario N6C 2R6 to fund Cancer Research.
