Passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospice of London on October 26, 2022. Jane Anne Upfold was in her 66th year. Beloved wife of John Gubbels. Dear mother of Michael and William Upfold. Sadly missed by her sister Jill (Upfold) Ross and Jill’s husband Ron Ross. Pre-deceased for many years by her loved prior husband Richard (Dick) White.
Jane was born in London Ontario in 1956. She is the daughter of Winnifred Cathers and Harvey Upfold. Jane grew up in Glanworth ON. She became a physician and worked for many years as a Hospital Emergency Room Doctor and then as a MD Psychotherapist.
Jane is sorrowfully missed by many friends in the medical, fitness, theater and charity communities as well as scores of former patients.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral service followed by a celebration of life will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 280 St James St, London ON N6A 1X3
Donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church at the address listed above referencing the Saturday Dinner Program. Jane helped for many years with the church’s meal outreach program for food insecure people in our community.
