Obituary of Ted Thurston

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Ted Thurston at the age of 90 surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents Ford and Agnes Thurston and his brother Jerry. To say someone dies of a broken heart can be such a cliché but in this case it is so accurate. Our father’s wife, our mom passed away 4 months ago and after being married to her for 69 years could no longer continue without her. The two of them are together again, holding hands, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. He is also survived by his sister in law, Loretta Ferris, his children Sandy Innes (Richard), Ellen Walker (David), Wendy Iatzko Von Friedrick (Jeff), Greg Thurston (Crystal), 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please consider making a monetary donation to Byron United Church. Cremation has occurred. A celebration of life will be held at Byron United Church on Saturday March 25th at 11:00am followed by a light lunch.
