Tribute to Marlene
,I am probably Marlene's oldest friend. We entered Grade One at Shakespeare School in Stratford the same year and went through Elementary School, Secondary School and Teachers' College together. We both received a bursary for entry into Teachers' College. Both of our Fathers served in the World War 2 as well. Ted, Marlene, my husband, Bert and I were best of friends for many years and enjoyed several trips together.. Marlene and I were enthusiastic figure skaters in the 50s and took part in many carnivals. To top it all off, we were even married on the same day but at different churches. Even though we have not been in touch too much in the last few years, she has always been in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss her a great deal.
I'd like to express my sincere sympathy to John, and Larry and his family.
