Obituary of John Barry Mol

John Barry Mol was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 5, 1954. He was adopted by his loving parents Maurice Mol and Elva Mol (O’Reilly) who brought him to Canada.

John passed away suddenly in his home on Saturday, April 15, 2023 In his 70th year.

He was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, where he was awarded with certification for reaching 50+ years of service.

John is predeceased by his high school sweetheart Marlese Carol Welch and loving daughters Linnette Robinson and Marrissa Mol.

He is survived by and will be missed by his sons Steven Mol (Allison), Clyde Mol (Trish) and remembered by his son in law Peter Robinson.

John was the proud papa to Paige Kleinhans (Matt) and loving grandpa with the moustache to Blake and Caden. John was excited by reaching the milestone of being a great grandpa to Ira.

John was known as “Mo” to many people and he will be greatly missed by family members, friends, neighbours and by his brothers at Local 793.

Cremation has taken place and at John’s request no visitations will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
