Obituary of Barrie Graham Johnstone

A special tribute to my precious loving husband, Barrie Graham Johnstone.

He was born on July 28th, 1942 to his parents Dorris and Alexander Johnstone, in Montreal, Quebec. He was the first born, followed by two brothers, the late Kirk Johnstone, who departed this life nine years ago, and his surviving brother Erick Johnstone and his wife Audrey, who live in Nova Scotia.

Barrie was a wonderful man with great personality. A man of principle, and eloquently sociable in life. Meticulous at times, with a quiet sense of humour. He was a very classy and great administrator which took him all over the world where he worked. Barrie lived a good life, he was kind, loving, generous and loved people.

He was strong and courageous battling his illness right to the end. He was determined to fight this disease and he did, with all of his might. He was my treasure, he was my coach, my teacher, my friend, my husband and my everything. The love we shared took us through thick and thin. 

God bless Barrie, who departed this life on April 25th, 2023. Now, with God's help, I will continue to carry on with Barrie's love in my heart, knowing he is watching over me.
