Obituary of Vaike Jackson

Peacefully on July 22, 2023, retired Toronto Dominion banker, Vaike Jackson made her final deposit.


Vaike was a loving mother who brought joy to the lives of everyone she touched.


She is preceded by her husband Joseph Jackson, mother Hilja Parss, father Elmar Parss, and step-granddaughter Sarah Ann Jackson. Vaike is survived by her son, Christopher Michael Cuculick, stepsons Scott and Jonathon, grandchildren Nathaniel and Beau, Matthew (Kristen), Melissa (Dylan), Samuel, and great-grandchildren Illyria, Easton, and Addison. Nieces Megan and Jessica. Step nieces Katherine, Kelly, Carolyn, and Jennifer, step nephews James, Kim, and Stephen, and brother Karl.


Vaike was born on May 28, 1948, in Geislingen, Germany. She grew up in Barrie, Ontario, and was an avid volleyball player who left her school Barrie North Collegiate Institute to win two GBSSA titles from 1966 to 1967.


Vaike loved to be creative with sewing and 3D art pictures. She loved to bake and cook Estonian dishes. She also loved to go bargain hunting. She showed her love of animals as she had 2 cats and 2 Border Collies.


Vaike worked at Toronto Dominion Bank throughout her working career and held various positions within the company.


Upon retirement after 30 years of service, Vaike enjoyed the cottage life. During that time, she enjoyed hosting gatherings with family and friends. She caught 2 big fish from the lake and it was a thrill of a lifetime!


Vaike had a great sense of humour that would make everyone laugh. She will be remembered as a person who is a joy to see.


Vaike will be dearly missed by everyone. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
