Obituary of Ann Aksoy

Ann McKeon Aksoy passed away peacefully on July 22, 2023 at University Hospital in the loving presence of family. Ann began her working life as a teacher before marrying and raising two children.   She later enjoyed working at Eaton's for many years where her friendly presence became a fixture. She received much joy in her travels with  family, especially to her adopted home of Turkey. Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was genuine and  possessed great warmth, caring,  and compassion. She was also patient, wise, exceptionally accepting, and  had the rare ability to make anyone feel welcomed. A woman of absolute grace, she was a gift to all who knew her. She always had a twinkle in her eye which she kept to the very end. She was precedent in death by  her husband,   Ozer Aksoy. She is survived by her brother Gerry McKeon (Madeline), daughter Tulin Aksoy Valeri and son David Aksoy (Jennifer), along with grandchildren,  Raphaella, Leonardo, Abbey, and Austin, whom she adored.  Her smile and humour will stay with us forever. She will be missed with all our hearts. Many thanks to the staff at University Hospital for their valiant efforts and great care.
A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at St. Peter's Cathedral on Friday, July 28th at 2pm.
