It is with the heaviest of hearts that I send my deepest condolences to the entire Barnes family as well as all of John's friends and acquaintances' - because he will forever be missed by every single person whose life he touched .. whether lifetime friends, work colleagues, golfing buddies or people who only knew him for a relatively short period of time. John was as humble as he was clever, as kind as he was principled and as honorable as he was brave. Rest in peace my dear friend - only your physical presence is no longer with us - you will live on in our hearts forever - because nothing loved is ever lost and you were loved so much! Cheryl Clark

Even though John had only been in my life for a year, I was constantly in awe of his kindness, his sense of humor, his generosity of spirit, and what a brave, intelligent, and wonderful man he was. He bravely fought Parkinson's with all the courage he could and will forever live in my heart as an example of dignity and strength. I will never forget him. I am so blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to meet someone like him. ♥️…

John was not only a great freind but an excellant manager for our many years at Labatt. We remained freinds after we both retired on the same day. John was very wise and I not only looked up to him but I respected his wisdom. The world just became smaller with John's passing.

I agree with Sam. A genuinely nice guy. But, as often happens, we lost touch with each other after high school.
Sue, I have no doubt you will have many fond memories.

John was one of "the good guys" at N.F.C.V.I. Upon graduation in 1971, a number of us continued our education at Western .
I have fond memories of John and recall meeting Sue at a reunion event years ago.
My deepest condolences.
R.I.P. John.
