Obituary of Edwin William Linthwaite

LINTHWAITE, EDWIN - Edwin William “Bud” Linthwaite passed into rest on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, in his 75th year. He was born in London, Ontario in 1941, lived for most of his life in that city, and died there, peacefully, after a short struggle with cancer. Bud served in the Canadian militia from 1958-1960. He was trained as a mechanical engineer and worked for many years in Chemical Valley in Sarnia, Ontario. Bud was predeceased by his father, Arthur William Linthwaite (1986), his mother, Dorothy Eileen (Westland) Linthwaite (1994), and his sister Wendy Margaret (Linthwaite) Crawford (Colin) (2009). He was the beloved father of Colby Stuart Linthwaite (Anastasia), Jennifer Noelle (Linthwaite) Fraser (Hugh), and Adam William Linthwaite (Charlene), the beloved grandfather of Waverly Grace Fraser, Eleni Felicity Linthwaite, Tristan William Maccoy Fraser, and Mary Daphne Linthwaite, and the beloved uncle of Tracy Michelle Crawford and Marcy Elizabeth Crawford. Bud is also survived by extended family throughout North America. He was the doting keeper of three dogs, Randy, Tiana and Sandy, all deceased. Bud will be interred near his parents at Woodland Cemetery in London, Ontario. Donations in remembrance of Bud may be made to the London Humane Society.
