Roland was an incredible person and friend who had been a big part of our family for over 55 years. Roland alway had a big smile that matched the size of his heart. His memories will forever be with us and I feel all our lives are richer for having known him. Wishing Dini and family all the strength during this time and know we are all here for you in thought and prayer.

Dear Dini & family,
Roland was not only a dear friend, but also an inspiration. He spread laughter, love and kindness. How fortunate I was to meet Dini when I moved to London and then, her dear husband, Roland. Rest in peace, Roland. You will be missed, but never forgotten.

Dini….
Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. Roland was a very special man who I was fortunate to get to know through my friendship with you. I really enjoyed our conversations on the days I visited. Loved to hear the stories he sometimes told. He was always so kind and thoughtful with his words. A wonderful cook and baker.

Our deepest condolences. Our memories are filled with years of friendship and laughter. The friendship of Roland and Jose spanned 64 years and included so many milestones. The Tuesday morning coffees and conversations were a highlight and will be missed. So many dinners, celebrations, and memories of good times that bring a smile to our faces. Rest in peace, Roland.
Terry and Jose.

Roland was an ideal friend and neighbour for over 40 years. He enjoyed discussing current and historical events and with his great memory for details it was hard to dissuade him from his point of view. Roland was always available to help with the myriad of issues that come with maintaining a home. I miss him. Bob S.

I am very sad and will miss my brother Roland very much. The time I was able to spend with him in Schwäbisch Gmünd or Canada was always a pleasure. We were close to each other although we were far away in distance.

Roland, my dear brother- in- law, was in my humble opinion too modest. He was such an admirable man, who wanted to make every day valuable. Never complained about anything, always trying to make each day the best of his life. I admired him for that for almost 56 years, I am very grateful for everything he gave me and did for me. Will miss him very much Guusta

Life is something precious to be treasured every day, but like a candle in the wind its light can fade away. Roland’s light will never fade from our memory. His kindness, thoughtfulness and caring attitude will always remain in our memories and his spirit will be with us forever. My thoughts and prayers are with Dini and the family. He was a true friend.
