Obituary of Doris Margaret Laberge

Doris died peacefully at home in her 93rd year. The youngest of 6 children, Doris was born and raised in Montreal. Predeceased by her husband, Gerard Laberge (August 18, 1980) and parents Gordon and Hilda (Alice) Lunan. Doris is survived by sons Barry (Janice), Kevin (Mary Lynn), Brian (Cathy); grandmother to Sarah (Stephen), Graeme (Tess), Matt, Abbey, Brent (Michael), Sean (Meghan), Hannah and Kyle. 

In 1999 she moved to London to be closer to family.  Doris took pleasure in the new friends she made here.  She was a presence in her condo building through checking in on neighbors and helping to organize the weekly coffee hour. Her friends and neighbours brought her the joy she needed to replace the fact that for the first time in many decades she could not adopt any new cats.  

Doris enjoyed word searches and indulging in a glass of merlot while watching her afternoon soaps. Her butter tarts were legendary at family gatherings.  Doris lived life on her own terms and was independent to the end. Her family was everything to her.
