Obituary of Jan Kazimierz Lobodzinski

Jan Lobodzinski, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on July 27, 2024, at the age of 68. Born in Sanniki, Poland on October 20, 1955 to Antoni and Leokadia Lobodzinski. Jan leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and passionate dance moves! 
 
Jan will be deeply missed by his soulmate and wife, Lidia Lobodzinski, his children Michael and Katherine (Bodkin), their spouses Nina and Derek, and his grandchildren Emily and Hudson Bodkin,and Nicola, Winston, and George Lobodzinski . He was a loving brother to Marek, Jolanta and Elizabeth.

 

Throughout his life, Jan was known for his exceptional skills as a jeweller and diamond setter, his love for travel, and his talent in the kitchen. His family and friends will always remember him for his humour, generosity and fortitude. His time as an officer in the Polish army helped champion change in Polish democracy. 

 

A church service in memory of Jan will be held on Monday August 26th at Our Lady of Czestochowa Polish Catholic Church in London, Ontario, at 11am (visitation 10-10:30 am) followed by a ceremony at Woodland Cemetery at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Parkwood Palliative Care Unit.

 

Jan Lobodzinski will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace.
