Obituary of Marion Joan Rounds
Marion "Joan" Rounds (née Wither)
After a long walk with dementia, Joan left us on August 6th to be with the angels she always knew were watching over her.
Left to mourn are her cherished husband of 55 years, Tim; her daughter Laurel (Jon) of Glen Allan and son Will (Anthea) of London; and her granddaughters Betty, Nancy and Georgia.
She will be missed by her brothers Bruce Wither (Joan) and Don Wither (Donna) and sisters-in-law, Pat Graham and Nancy Joachim. Joan is mourned by nieces and nephews, extended family and many dear friends all over the world.
Joan was born on January 20th, 1948 in wintry Winnipeg to Glenn and Isobel Wither. She spent many happy years on Montgomery Street before moving to Windsor and then Toronto as a teenager. It was in Windsor that Joan met Tim. They married in 1969, moved to Australia for a few years and traveled the world.
Joan and Tim settled in Kingsville to raise their family, where Joan became involved in the local community as chair of Migration Festival, BIA co-ordinator and in many other ways over the years. Joan was also a devoted elementary school teacher.
In memory of Joan, donations can be made to the McCormick Care Foundation.

We are grateful for the wonderful care and attention Joan received over the last three years at the McCormick Home – and that Tim continues to receive as a resident there.
Mom was full of life, with a great sense of humour. She loved meeting new people and bringing them into the fold. We love you so much, Mom!
A celebration of life will be held in Kingsville at a later date.
