Obituary of Violet Clifford

Violet Clifford (Wanzak) of London, ON passed away peacefully on September 23rd, 2024, at the age of 98 after a long, hard fought battle with Alzheimer’s.

 

Violet was born March 18th, 1926 to the late William & Mary Wanzak, in London, ON.

 

Predeceased by her Husband Harold, son David, sister Patricia Smyth (Gilbert), and brother Victor Lobaskie (Rita).

 

Violet will be forever cherished by her sister Willa Phillips, her daughter Judith (Wayne) Dye, her daughter-in-law Libi, her grandchildren Adam (Katherine), Peter, Patricia (Sean) Milne, Andie Dye, and Nikki Dye (Michael Korol), her six great grandchildren Antwon, Nathan, Lauren, Meghan, Audrey and Isla, and her many nieces and nephews.

 

Violet is dearly remembered for her great green thumb and stunning garden, a passion for reading and knitting, and her immense generosity. Always had time for a game of Checkers, Uno or a puzzle. A special thank you to Antwon for accepting Nana as she was; being a great reading buddy.

 

In her earlier days, Violet loved traveling with her sister Willa and enjoyed reminiscing on those fond memories years later.

 

We all love and miss you so much.

 

Cremation has taken place under the care of Woodland Cemetery. At her request, no service will be held.
