Dear Jim, John, Bob, Sharon, Dave and family members
I think the stars were in alignment in the early 1970s when I met your dad at Fanshawe College. It started by having Wells as an accounting teacher which he did with such thoroughness and enjoyment. He certainly taught us all to think about all the options and the ethics involved and did it in a respectful way. My life was blessed again by your dad in the mid-1970s when he played a pivotal role in encouraging me to apply for and securing an accounting teaching position at Fanshawe. Over the many years we worked together, Wells was a role model for me and others as I strived to meet his high standards. Of course, we enjoyed many golf games together with the gang from Fanshawe even though he could not help my golf game. We certainly had many good times on these golf tournaments and all the socializing before, during and after the game. During the last few months, I was lucky enough to be able to have short visits with Wells at Manor Village which we both enjoyed.
Thanks for sharing your dad with us and may all the many pleasant memories you have of him fill you with joy!

Wells was a mentor to me during my youth and a good friend to my family down in Lithia Springs, Georgia. His many visits South years ago were always fun and insightful. He adored listening to the latest country hits played live at the Buckboard, not far from Lithia Springs, surrounded by a coterie of his boots-wearing pals, and when we were up visiting him, Donna, my Aunt Judy and Uncle Dave in Ontario, Wells always had an adventure planned for us -- which often included perch in Port Stanley, a favorite destination of ours. Wells' influence on my life and on the lives of my family members has been profound, and we often reminisce about his wise and witty words.

Dear Jim, John, Bob, Sharon and Dave,
My sincere condolences in the loss of your amazing father. He was a wonderful man - kind, thoughtful, caring and encouraging. He took such great care of your mom through her journey.
The long-time friendships that our parents had were very special to them. I have lots of good memories of get-togethers.
May your dad rest in peace. I know he will be sorely missed and mourned.
Wishing each of you peace and good memories to sustain you. God bless,
Sue

Thank you Wells, for being the most wonderful father-in -law that anyone could ask for, and I was lucky enough to have. He was my father-in -law for almost 43 years. He was kind, thoughtful (never missed a birthday ever!) and had a wicked sense of humour. Never shy about sharing his hole in one in Ingersoll, or being a big Detroit lions fan. He was always gracious to lose almost every Super Bowl to me, and would willingly give me my $5 win. He was kind, considerate, fun, curious , understanding, never ever judgemental. He handled his disease with grace and courage. He is an inspiration to us all. He will be surely missed by all who knew him. I for one, who teasingly called him “princess” will miss him terribly as well. My condolences to his children who really got very lucky to have the father and mother that they had.
You will be missed “princess”
See you on the other side..
